  2. Play typing games at either Typingweb.com, Nitrotype, or  FreeTyping.net for 10 minutes.
  3. Choose from this list of activities:
  • Finish any incomplete assignments
  • Do the Google Holiday Lights event
  • Make Holiday Card in Word (You may print in black ink) 
  • Code Academy
  • Update Website
  • Beyond Hour of Code or Code Monkey
  • Play GeoGuessr or Bloxorz
  • Be Inspired Ted Under 20 Video talks by amazing teens

Typing Test & STEM

  1. The keyboarding test is today. Go to the Test on Typingweb.com. You need to complete all 3 sections.  Make certain that you click the Save and Continue at the end of the third section. You can earn a grade of A+ by typing at 15 wpm and 95% accuracy with perfect posture and finger placement.
  2. Complete the STEM Careers Volume 1 assignment from last Friday. Be certain that you follow the directions. This is due at the end of the school day on Wednesday, December 17.
  3. If you finish, you may return to one of the code tutorials. Recommendations: Intro to JavaScript by Khan Academy, Angry Birds by Code.org, or Make a Flappy Game by Code.org.

Remember, Late Start is on Friday this week. Thursday is a regular schedule day with FUSD dress code due to the dance after school.

The keyboarding test is on your block day this week. Practice keyboarding for 10 minutes. You can earn a grade of A+ by typing at 15 wpm and 95% accuracy with perfect posture and finger placement.

Complete the STEM Careers Volume 1 assignment from last Friday. Be certain that you follow the directions.
If you finish, you may return to one of the code tutorials. Recommendations: Intro to JavaScript by Khan Academy, Angry Birds by Code.org, or Make a Flappy Game by Code.org.

  1. Take the typing test on TypingWeb; do all three pages. This is the one hundred point typing test that you will take next week on your block day. The second quarter requirement is 15 wpm at 95% accuracy.
  2. Begin Hour of Code lessons. When you finish the " Frozen" lessons, add the certificate of completion to your digital portfolio. Add only your first name to the certificate. Then right click on it and save the image to your Student Folder on the server. You may also place it on the computer page of your website.
  3. Learn more coding by trying out some of the other tutorials. Recommendations: Intro to JavaScript by Khan Academy, Angry Birds by Code.org, or Make a Flappy Game by Code.org.

  5. Today you should finish the hour of code. When you complete it, make a certificate like the one to the right. Use only your first name if you want to post it on your website.
Challenge when you finish. Go to Code.org to do the Tutorials that Teach JavaScript.

  3. Print your Andalusian poem. Ensure that your name & Core code are in place.
  4. BrainPop: Computer Programming. Watch the video then do the Quiz. When you feel prepared, do the Google Form quiz for credit in class.
  5. Continue working on your website and digital portfolio. You need to have a titled assignment, image and reflection for each of these classes: Language Arts, History, Math, Science, and Computers. 
  6. You may also add titles, images, and reflections for PE and Electives if you have them. Refer to these Digital Portfolio instructions. You may also add a second assignment entry to each of the class page
