  1. Complete Big Wave emoji project and turn it in to Google Classroom.
  2. Check for any missing assignments or work that can be revised. Today is the last day to turn in any assignments for computers. You must submit a regrade request to get credit.
    1. GCF updates must be shown to me today.
  3. If everything is complete, you may go to links on my page or sign yearbooks.

The last day to turn in missing assignments or revised assignments for Computers is Tuesday, June 7. You must complete the PLEASE REGRADE button to notify me that something needs to be graded.
  1. New computer assignment: Using only emoji, retell the main plot elements of The Big Wave. Use your five haikus to help you retell the exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. Create a new Google Doc or Google Drawing to "write" the story. There are many websites that have emojis that you can copy and paste onto your document. Some good ones are this Apple Emoji List, Copy and Paste Emoji and Get Emoji.

  1. Atlas Grades for Week 10. Be certain it is complete for Quarter 4, before you make a copy of the file. Turn in the copy on Google Classroom.
  2. Typing test by sections in the room. Follow teacher instructions. You will do the typing.com 5 Minute version of the test when called upon to start the test.
  3. Complete these assignments from block day.
    1. Go to BrainPOP and watch Digital Animation. Click on Activities and complete the Activity and Graphic Organizer. Use the snipping tool to take a screenshot of each and turn them in to Google Classroom. This is due today.
    2. Do you enjoy being recognized for your accomplishments? Here is your chance to recognize others by creating digital "stickers" in the form of badges for people who you feel are deserving of some positive recognition. Create a badge: one for a friend/relative or one for a school staff member. Follow these instructions to create badge: Create a Badge with Google Drawings. In a text box on each Google Drawing, name the badge and its recipient and write a brief statement (1-2 sentences) about how the person earned the badge. You will be sharing these badges with the recipients and turning them in. This is due today on Google Classroom
  4. Explore educational sites and games linked to my or Mrs. Kanzler's pages.

  1. Keyboard practice for 10 minutes. If you are prepared, speak with me about doing the test today.

Peer Feedback for Haiku

  1. Keyboard practice for 10 minutes.
  2. Complete your Haiku Project from Block Day. 
  3. Have your Haiku open on your desktop. Place the paper copy of the rubric on the table in front of your computer.
  4. Follow teacher instructions for completing the peer evaluation process.
    1. ​Across the top row of the rubric add these numbers: A 4, B 3, C 2, D 1, F 0. A perfect score will be  4 x 4 = 16.
  5. You must share the link to your Haiku Project using this Google Form. Change the share settings to allow teachers to comment!

  • Explain and demonstrate how specialized technology tools can be used for problem solving, decision-making, and creativity in all subject areas
  1. Practice typing lessons for ten minutes. Focus on correct finger placement and posture. The final test is next week.
  2. Use Google Draw to make a presentation of the 5 Haiku you are writing for The Big Wave. See the directions and rubric here. This is due Friday.

Animation Wrap up & a Badge

Atlas

It is the end of Week 8. Transcribe you grades from Atlas onto your Grade Record. Can you add spark lines?
  1. Finish any prior work that is incomplete. This includes code.org 15, 17, and 19; GCF Excel 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14. The GCF Challenges must all be in the same folder on your computer.
  2.  Pixar in a Box. 
    1. Continue Animation, Introduction to Animation. Save your progress. Share a Snipping Image of your progress for credit on today. The image must include the module name, vertical progress graph, and your log in name. Turn it in on Google Classroom. IT is due today.
    2. Today you should complete Animation and one more module. Crowds is a popular (short) second choice.​​ Turn in your choice on Google Classroom.
  3. You also must complete for credit GCF Excel 15, 16, 17, 22, and 23. These will be checked on Block Day next week. Be certain to get them completed.
